New Blog...
Due to my recent transfer, I have created a new Blog to show my new adventious within the different stations here at the LFD. The new blog will be "Life in the Lynchburg Fire Dept." at http://lynchburgfire.blogspot.com Please stop by and check it out.
Lynchburg Fire Station Six (Miller Park) currently is the home to Engine Company Six and Medic Unit 6. The Station was built in 1912 and is the oldest active fire station in the City of Lynchburg, Virginia. It is also the last remaining two story station in the city and the only one that still has a fire pole. Station Six protects the Midtown area of Lynchburg which consists of commerical, light industry and residential. It also contains Lynchburg General Hospital and a large collection of private medical offices and health care facilites.
