A case of the Mondays

You know it's going to be a busy shift when you get a call before the shift change bell rings. And with that the Medic unit was back on the streets earning it's keep. The Engine has been busy too, chasing fire alarms and the medic unit. We had a great class on the dangers of all the new hybrid vehicles that are now on the roads. We also got a look at all the fancy new thing we can do with our computers with the city's new GIS mapping systems. Isn't technology great. After a delicious dinner, we all got a chance to enjoy a Little League baseball right in our own front yard. Then the tones dropped for another medical and it was back to the streets. Hopefully everyone enjoyed the beautiful day and will stay in and sleep all night. Until Thursday, stay safe.

Above is a picture of Medic 6, its rare to see it in the station.

Friday in the Park

A foggy morning greeted the B Shift at another day at "The Park". We started out with roll call then performed the usual Friday checks. After that we washed the War Wagon and the Meat Wagon, shining them up to make the owners, ( the taxpayers ) proud. The Medic has been steady as always, keeping up it's pace as the Hill City's busiest. The Engine had a few runs a medical and an upgraded fire alarm but nothing photo-worthy. Oh well the shift is young, we shall see what the neighbors have planned for us tonight.
